9/23/10 book blog

In your book, what are some of the ways that your character expresses themselves through their emotions? How do they show love? Anger? Hate? Why is this important to you as a reader?

In my book Whit shows love for his girlfriend because even though she has been missing for months he can't keep his mind off of her. In his dreams she appers to tell him why he is in this crazy place. But before she can she tells him that she will have to see him for real and not just in a dream and that people can be watching and listening. When Witsy is angry her whole body just puffs up in blue, red, and orange flames. It is so cool. When Whit is mad he just lunges towards that person and starts punching him/her. They both show hate by being rude and back talking that person with authority. It's because by the author expressing Whit and Witsy's emotions I can kind of get a sense of who they really are inside.

  1. Lizzy,

It's a good thing I know what you are reading or I'd be confused since your forgot to give us the title and author :(

Good examples of how they show anger and hatered. Support from the text would be helpful, especially with the cool way Whitsy shows anger. What can you double check to make sure you include all of the items you missed?

Your explanation for how Whit shows love is a little confusing - how could you reword it so it is clear how he shows love.

I love your understanding of why it is important -you really understand yourself as a reader.

    Push yourself!
