It is important for readers to understand what is happening in their books, who the characters are and what the theme is. In your response, outline the following: Plot, Setting, Characters, and Universal Theme. Provide evidence to support your thinking from your book.
Imagine you wake up and the world around you-life as you know it-has changed in an instant. That's what has happened to Whit Allgood and his sister, Witsy. They went to sleep as normal teenagers, and woke up as wanted criminals. Accused of holding incredible powers they'd never dreamed possible. And now, just how different they are-special, even-if just beginning to be revealed in a strange new world. It begins...now.
The book 'Witch & Wizard by James Patterson' takes place at home and then straight to 'The New Order' (A jail for what some call the supernatural.). The Antagonist of the story world be the guards for the new order and the police for the new order. The protagonist of the story at this point would be Whit, Witsy, the mom, and the dad. The main characters are Whit and Witsy at this point in my book. The universal theme of my book would be 'HOW SOCIETY ACTS OR REACTS.' This is because in the book society is reacting by putting anyone who has some kind of super power into a jail called the 'New Order.' In this jail you cannot use any of your powers due to the fact that the whole jail has a spell on it to the point where it will deactivate their powers. In other words anyone who is different will be sent to some kind of jail. My favorite character Whit is very loquacious in his dreams but other than that not very much in the day.
